Update: Up To Half Foot Of Snow In East Dutchess Before Change To Rain

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Between 4 to 6 inches of snow will accumulate in Dutchess before a changeover to rain Saturday afternoon.

Ice accumulation of around one-tenth of an inch is also likely.

Motorists who had to be on the road faced hazardous driving conditions Saturday morning with the steady snowfall and fog making for poor visibility.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 2 p.m. Saturday.

A wintry mix will transition to showers around noon Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday's high temperature will reach the mid to upper 30s.

A few showers early Saturday night will become a steady rain overnight.

The snow should all melt away during the day Sunday with steady rain expected and highs in the mid 50s.
