PINE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Dutch's Spirits opened Monday, July 4 in Pine Plains.
The opening event drew 500 to taste selections at the bar, sample baked goods, and for informative tours.
Dutch’s Spirits is the reconstructed site of gangster Dutch Schultz’s bootlegging operation during Prohibition. The original bunkers from that time are open to the public and a museum is being planned there for the future.
Dutch's Spirits' products include Sugar Wash Moonshine, Peach Brandy, American Era Cocktail bitters , and soon-to-be released estate grown straight bourbon whiskey.
They also offer products from other New York distilleries.
