DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNappoli will be the keynote speaker at the July Contact Breakfast at 7:30 a.m Wednesday, July 20, at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center.
DiNapoli took office in 2007 as the 54th Comptroller of the State of New York and is known for aggressively fighting misuse of public resources, strengthening one of the nation’s top public pension funds, and consistently speaking out against fiscal gimmicks, imprudent actions and government inefficiency.
The New York State Comptroller manages the State’s $184.5 billion pension fund, audits the spending practices of all State agencies and local governments, oversees the New York State and Local Retirement System, critically reviews the New York State and City budgets, and approves billions of dollars in State contracts and spending.
Contact breakfast attendees are asked to bring dry or canned goods to help The Chamber's Ambassador Committee in its ongoing drive to benefit the Chamber’s Workforce Development Center. Donations may be deposited in the marked boxes near the registration tables at the Poughkeepsie Grand.
Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union proudly sponsors July’s Contact Breakfast. Since 1963, the credit union has grown to provide a wide variety of financial products and services to individuals, families, and businesses throughout Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and Putnam counties.
