LWV Moderates North Salem School Board Candidates' Forum NORTH SALEM, NY – The League of Women Voters of North East Westchester (LWVNEW) is holding a public forum featuring the candidates running for the North Salem School Board. The forum begins at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 3, in the North Salem Middle School/High School Library at 230 June Road. Jennifer Binette, Katherine Daniels, Deborah D’Agostino and Kurt Guldan are running for the three available seats. City of New Rochelle Coordinates First Walk To Work Day NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The City of New Rochelle in partnership with Montefiore Health System and 511NY Rideshare will coordinate the City’s first Walk to Work Day on Friday, April 29, followed by Bike to Work Day on May 20. Survey On The Kaal Rock Connector Nears Deadline POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The City of Poughkeepsie and the Poughkeepsie Alliance are seeking feedback on the proposed Kaal Rock Connector, an elevated walkway around Kaal Rock that would connect Waryas Park with Kaal Rock Park. In order to get feedback they have created a survey available at this link that will close on Friday, April 29. The walkway would create a continuous accessible trail along the Hudson River. Eastchester High School Wrestler Nunzio Crowley Named All-American EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eastchester High senior Nunzio Crowley has capped off his highly successful high school wrestling career by being named an All-American for wrestling. He won the sectional tournament for the second year in a row and this year he was named as the tournament’s most outstanding wrestler.
