Jersey City Woman Busted For Bayonne Burglary: Police Nancy Wandell, 52-year-old Jersey City woman was arrested and charged on Tuesday, Sept. 5 with breaking into a residence in Bayonne last month, authorities said. On Saturday, Aug. 5, police responded to a residence on West 42nd Street on a report of a burglary and theft, Captain Eric Amato said. The victim said Wandell entered the apartment and removed her purse, which had the victim's identification and debit/credit cards, Amato said. Pizza Deliveryman Robbed At Gunpoint: Newark PD Newark Police are attempting to seek a man wanted for robbing a pizza deliveryman at gunpoint on Saturday, Aug. 19. At 12:53 a.m. police were called to the 100 block of Vermont Avenue on a report of an armed robbery, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said. Teenager Arrested Trying To Steal Car From Ford Dealership: Secaucus PD An 18-year-old from Pennsylvania was arrested for trying to steal a car from Meadowlands Ford on Monday, Aug. 28, authorities said. At 7:30 p.m., police responded to the dealership at 330 County Avenue and found Xazier Valle, who matched the description of the car thief, Chief Dennis Miller said. Police pursued Valle on foot after he tried to run from officers and were soon able to apprehend him and take him into custody, Miller said. Valle was charged with criminal attempt to commit theft and was issued a complaint summons, Miller said.

Frank Pawlowski, Former Bayonne Police Chief Dies, 80 Frank Pawlowski, who served as Bayonne Police Chief from 1997 to 2004, died on Monday, Aug. 28 at the age of 80, Mayor Jimmy Davis announced. Pawlowski was born and raised in Bayonne, helping his father run Pop's Corner, which was known for its roast beef sandwiches, according to his obituary. Newark Man Burglarized Schools, Church: Police A 50-year-old Newark man was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 31, for breaking into two charter schools, a church, a pain management institute and a city traffic facility in July and August, authorities said. Two Knives, One Firearm, Three Hoboken Residents Arrested Three Hoboken residents were arrested and charged after police spotted them with multiple weapons during a melee on Wednesday, Aug. 30, authorities said.
