Teens Conduct Scientific Research at Ossining's Teatown OSSINING, N.Y. -- Teatown Lake Reservation celebrated another successful year of its Teatown Environmental Science Academy in Ossining. This is the third year the program has been offered at Teatown, and this year the reservation hosted 11 students from eight Westchester high schools who each chose a research project to undertake on Teatown’s 1,000-acre preserve. Mount Kisco Man, 33, Faces DWI Charges CORTLANDT, N.Y. – New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested John M. Irvine, 33, of Mount Kisco, Saturday on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.   The defendant was stopped by police near Oregon and Aberdeen roads on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, police said. Irvine was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DWI, according to police.   Irvine supplied police with a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, police said, and was issued traffic tickets returnable to Cortlandt Town Cou…

Wayne First Aid Squad Plans Pig Roast Fundraiser WAYNE, N.J. -- The Way Township Memorial First Aid Squad will hold an end-of-summer pig roast fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 12.In addition to the pig roast, there will also be burgers, hot dogs, all-you-can-drink beer and soda, live entertainment, a bounce house for children and flag football games.  The fundraiser runs from 1 to 8 p.m. at 1 Pal Drive. Cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and younger.
