Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Nassau County Man Found Unresponsive In Pool At Long Island Home An investigation is underway after a man was found unresponsive in a pool on Long Island.Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct police officers responded to a Stony Brook home on Harmon Court at approximately 2 p.m. Sunday, July 5 after Anthony Leo, 78, of Freeport, was found unresponsive in a pool outside the residence. Leo was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

Man Accused Of Setting Fire To Long Island Hotel A man has been charged with arson after police say he set fire to a Long Island hotel. Suffolk County Police say Raymond Pond, 50, started the fire inside the Rodeway Inn in Huntington Station, located at 270 West Jericho Turnpike, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4. Second Precinct officers responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Several people were on the premises at the time of the fire. There were no injuries. Long Island Man Drove Drunk With 6-Year-Old In Pickup Truck, Police Say A Long Island man drove drunk with his young son in his pickup truck, according to authorities. A Suffolk County Police Selective Alcohol Fatality Enforcement (SAFE-T) officer in Selden initiated a traffic stop of a 2003 Nissan Frontier after he observed the vehicle making an illegal left turn while it was travelling eastbound on Middle County Road at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, July 5. Father, Son Killed In Hudson Valley House Fire A man who pushed his daughter to safety was killed, along with his son, after a house fire broke out overnight in the Hudson Valley. The blaze began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 5 in Ulster County in the Town of Shawangunk on Burnt Meadow Road. Initial responders discovered a 9-year-old girl outside the home, who had been pushed out a window to safety by her father, later identified as Joseph J. Pair Of Overnight Shootings Under Investigation In Bridgeport A pair of overnight shootings are under investigation in Bridgeport. Early Sunday morning, July 5 the Bridgeport Office of Emergency Management received calls from separate hospitals regarding gunshot-wound victims who came into their emergency rooms. Police say the victim of a shooting on Arctic Street was treated at Bridgeport Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds to the ankle and wrist. Long Island Man Accused Of Exposing Himself To Girls, Boy A Long Island man has been accused of exposing himself to male and female teenagers in separate incidents dating back to more than a year ago. On May 18, 2019, Nassau County Police responded to a radio assignment of a man exposing himself in public on Uniondale Avenue in Uniondale. 21-Year-Old Killed, Two Injured In Shooting At Long Island Home Three people were shot, one fatally, in an overnight incident at a Long Island home. It happened on Saturday, July 4 at about 11:15 p.m. in North Massapequa. According to Nassau County Police detectives, units responded to West Drive for a radio assignment for shots fired.
