VALHALLA, N.Y. -- A GoFundMe page has been launched to support the family of Romi Therese D’Annunzio.

D'Annunzio died Monday morning after she was struck by a train at the Valhalla station. Her death has been ruled a suicide.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the page has raised more than $34,000 from 340 people in one day. The page was set up by the Thornton-Donovan School where Romi's mother, Jeannie, is a teacher. The money will go to help the family with burial expenses.

Any excess funds will be donated to causes related to suicide prevention. To donate, click here.
