In honor of the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War I, 2018 has been declared the Year of the Veteran in Dutchess County.
"Throughout this yearlong celebration, Dutchess County will highlight the selfless sacrifice of our service men and women," County Executive Marc Molinaro said.
Dutchess will hold a parade for veterans and the Dutchess County Historical Society will be recording stories of service. The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will be highlighting a Veteran-Owned Business Member of the Month in its newsletter.
