CT Man Killed During Crash One Day After 35th Birthday A Connecticut man was killed one day after his 35th birthday when he hit a metal beam guide rail and was thrown into the highway. Hartford County resident Michael Jon Skorupski was killed while driving a 2009 Suzuki GSX motorcycle on Route 571 just after midnight on Friday, Aug. 27 in Berlin, said the Connecticut State Police. Arrest Made Following Deadly Western Mass Crash Police arrested a man for vehicular homicide in connection to a motor two-car crash that killed one person in Massachusetts. Hampden County resident Javier Morales, age 34, was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 26 by the Ludlow Police in connection with a crash that took place on Sunday, Aug. 22. According to Chief Daniel Valadas, of the Ludlow Police, officers were called to the serious multi-vehicle crash on 177 Chapin Street in Ludlow with injuries. Trio Wanted In Fairfield County 'Armed, Dangerous,' Police Say Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help identifying three men wanted in connection with multiple thefts and a carjacking. In Fairfield County, the Bridgeport Police Department's Robbery/Burglary Unit is looking to identify the individual shown wearing the Adidas tee-shirt. 14-Year-Old Shot, Killed On CT Street A 14-year-old died after being shot on a Connecticut street. The boy was found around 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, in New Haven after officers responded to multiple 911 calls about someone being shot on Chatham Street, authorities said. When officers arrived on the scene they found Tyshaun Hargrove, a resident of New Haven, suffering from gunshot wounds on Chatham Street, between Rowe and Ferry streets, said Officer Scott Shumway of the New Haven Police. Delivery Driver's Vehicle Stolen In Fairfield County Carjacking, Police Say A vehicle and cellphone were stolen during a carjacking of a delivery driver in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, on Indian Avenue, in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. According to Appleby, a person, who was reportedly armed with a knife carjacked a Chinese food delivery driver of their gray Toyota Rav4 and their cellphone. The victim was not injured. Landscaper In Hudson Valley Admits To Wage Theft, Faking Business Records A Hudson Valley landscaper has pleaded guility to failing to pay his workers the prevailing wage and then faking paperwork to cover up the crime. Putnam County District Attorney Robert Tendy announced Thursday, Aug. 26, that Joseph Fregosi, of Fregosi Landscaping Inc., pled guilty to perjury and his corporation pled guilty to falsifying business records and failure to pay prevailing wages. Alert Issued For Sisters Who've Gone Missing In Region Police are asking the public for help locating two sisters who have been reported missing in Western Massachusetts. The Hampden County residents, 14-year-old Hamailee Sevilla and 12-year-old Kailey Del-Valle, were reported missing by their mother on Tuesday, Aug. 24, said the Springfield Police. CT Woman Arrested For Leaving 2-Year-Old In Car, Police Say A 23-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly leaving her 2-year-old daughter in a vehicle while she was inside Panera Bread. The incident took place in New Haven County around noon on Tuesday, Aug. 24 when the Milford Police were called to the restaurant at 1627 Boston Post Road after the child was found in the car, police said.
