She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. CT Woman Hit By Amazon Delivery Van, Police Say A Connecticut woman was allegedly hit by an Amazon delivery van while it was making a delivery at her home. The incident took place in Windham County around 3:32 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 24, when the Amazon driver was pulling into a Plainfield home. According to Plainfield Police, when officers arrived on the scene they found an Amazon van pulled along the right side of the roadway and the operator who was with the driver standing outside. Long Island Man Nabbed For Scamming Woman Out Of $86K, Police Say A Long Island man has been accused of scamming a woman out of more than $86,000. According to Nassau County detectives, the 87-year-old woman received a letter through US mail claiming she had won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. The woman contacted the phone number listed on the mailer and was instructed to withdraw cash from her bank on multiple dates, totaling in the amount of $86,000, said the Nassau County Police. Two Injured During Western Mass Crash Between Car, Truck Two people were injured and taken to an area hospital following a crash in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, when a car and a truck collided at the intersection of Dwight Street in Springfield, according to the Springfield Fire Department. Fire officials said two people, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries had to be extricated from their vehicles.

Suspect Nabbed After Fairfield County Bank Robbery, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly robbing an area bank. The incident took place in Fairfield at the Key Bank on Post Road around noon on Wednesday, Aug. 25. The suspect was described as a white male who reportedly pointed what looked like a handgun at tellers demanding money, said Capt. Antonio Granata of the Fairfield Police Department. Area Woman Takes Daughter Against Court Order, Police Say An area woman was charged for allegedly luring her daughter out of her father's home and taking her in violation of a court order. Ulster County resident Deidre Mayr, age 37, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 18, for the incident which took place two days earlier. Fairfield County Apple Store Burglarized, 13 iPhones Stolen Police in Fairfield County are searching for suspects who allegedly burglarized an Apple Store, making off with 13 items. The burglary took place around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Greenwich store on Greenwich Avenue. Man Nabbed For $83K ATM Robbery In Fairfield County A Fairfield County man has been nabbed for allegedly robbing an ATM service worker of more than $83,000 earlier this year. On Monday, June 7, an ATM service provider employee was the victim of a robbery that occurred at the Sunoco Gas Station, 1025 East Main St., Bridgeport.
