Parents Accused Of Leaving 1-Year-Old In Hot SUV At Long Island Mall Parking Lot
Police arrested a couple for allegedly leaving their baby in a hot vehicle while they went shopping at a Long Island mall.
The man and woman were charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child around 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17 at the Americana Manhasset Mall, police said.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, Jingcai Zhou, age 34, and Lu Lu, age 28, from Flushing, Queens, parked their 2019 Mercedes Benz in a parking lot located at 2046 Northern Blvd.

Woman Nabbed For Stealing From Another Person's PayPal Account In Fairfield County, Police Say
A Connecticut woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from another person's PayPal account.
New Haven County resident, Giorgiana Rose Mastrangelo, age 21, of West Haven, was arrested by New Canaan Police for the incident which took place on Tuesday, April 6, said Lieutenant Jason Ferraro.
According to Ferraro, an investigation found Mastrangelo took without permission and made an unauthorized transaction of $400.
She was arrested by West Haven Police and picked up by New Canaan Police on Monday, Aug. 16, and charged with larceny.

Nassau County Man Shot After Leaving Long Island Party
Police detectives are investigating a shooting that took place outside a Long Island residence.
Officers in Suffolk County responded to 95 Pine St., in Port Jefferson Station, after a 911 call reported a man shot at 11:40 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17.
When officers arrived they found Nassau County resident Angel Bermudez, of Freeport, in the backyard with two gunshot wounds, police said.
Bermudez, age 26, had left a party inside the residence when he was shot.
He was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.

Employee Nabbed For Stealing Wedding Cards From Gift Box At Venue In Area, Police Say
An employee has been arrested for allegedly stealing multiple wedding cars from a gift box at a wedding reception.
The man was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 15, for the theft which took place in Ulster County at the Diamond Mills Hotels in Saugerties on Friday, July 16, authorities said.
The complainant reported that multiple wedding cards belonging to the bride were missing from a box, which was left unattended in the lobby of the venue, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.

$4 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In Western Mass
A $4 million winning lottery ticket was sold in Western Massachusetts to a lucky group trust.
The "$4,000,000 Winfall" instant $10 ticket was purchased by Poker Face Nominee Trust of Quincy on Thursday, July 29 in Hampshire County, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.
The trust, represented by trustee David Spillane, selected the cash option for its prize and received payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes), the lottery said.

CT Man Found Stabbed, Dies Hours Later, Police Say
A 30-year-old Connecticut man has died after being stabbed multiple times.
Jeremiah Fitzgerald, age 30, address unknown, was found by officers around 4:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16 in Hartford in the area of 580 Albany Ave., Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.
Hartford Police officers were dispatched to the area of 580 Albany Avenue on a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers found Fitzgerald suffering from stab wounds.

14-Year-Old Turns Himself In After Shooting At Danbury Mall
A 14-year-old Fairfield County boy has turned himself in to police as being the shooter at an area mall that left a teenage girl shot in the chest.
The shooting took place around 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, near the entrance to Macy's at Danbury Fair Mall during a confrontation between two groups of teens, authorities said.
One person, described as a tall, thin male with dreadlocks who may be in his early teens, took out a gun and fired a single shot, which struck the teenager, Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour said.
