22-Year-Old Charged With Rape Of Two Under Age Of 15 In Area, Police Say
A 22-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged rape of two victims in the area both under the age of 15.
Orange County resident Jeffrey Arenas, age 22, of Wallkill, was arrested and charged in Ulster County with rape and criminal sexual act, by the New Paltz Police.
According to police, on Tuesday, June 15, the New Paltz Police Department Detective Division was notified that two juvenile females had been sexually assaulted by the same adult male.

Man Nabbed For Exposing Genitals To Three Long Island Teens, Police Say
A 43-year-old man has been arrested for alleged indecent exposure during an incident on Long Island involving three school girls.
Nelon Bartholomew, age 43, of Brooklyn was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 11, for exposing his genitals in Nassau County on Thursday, March 25, outside of Calhoun High School in Merrick, said Nassau County Police.

Man Arrested For DUI, Other Charges In Fairfield County Crash, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly causing a crash that seriously injured one and driving under the influence at double the legal limit at the time of the accident, police said.
Malvin Nunez, age 27, of Stamford, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 10, in connection with the crash that took place on Saturday, June 5 in the area of Ocean Drive and Saddle Rock Road, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth of the Stamford Police.
According to Booth, Nunez was driving a 2019 Subaru WRX, at a high rate of speed on Ocean Drive West and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

Teen Rushed To Westchester Medical Center Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle, Police Say
A Hudson Valley teenager was struck and killed when he stepped onto the roadway in front of a vehicle, according to authorities.
The incident took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., on Tuesday, August 10, on Forest Road in Kiryas Joel, New York State Trooper Steven Nevel said.
An initial investigation indicates, Michael Gestetner, age 18, of Brooklyn, was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse southbound on Forest Road when Aaron Freeman, age 16, of Monroe, abruptly entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle, Nevel said.

Parolee Nabbed With Guns, Drugs During Stop In Fairfield County, Police Say
A Fairfield County man who is a convicted felon on parole was nabbed on alleged drug and gun charges during a traffic stop.
Evans Powell, age 30, was busted on Friday, Aug. 6, following a three-week investigation after receiving word that he selling drugs in Stamford, authorities said.
Stamford PD Capt. Richard Conklin said Powell, who is recently out of jail and on parole, is "very familiar to the department" for a host of different crimes ranging from assaults to sex crimes to drug dealing.
