Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Teen Found Dead On Long Island A homicide investigation is underway after a teen was found dead on Long Island. The victim was found deceased in Cow Meadow Park Thursday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Freeport with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Daniel Garcia-Carbajal, age 19, of Freeport. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. This is a developing story. Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Long Island Crash A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened overnight at a Long Island intersection. Kerry Probst, age 46, was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry in Shirley westbound on Neighborhood Road, when the vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a 2003 Ford Econoline traveling eastbound at around 8:22 p.m. Thursday, March 4, Suffolk County Police said. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island 15-Year-Old A Long Island boy has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. Michael Morrissey, age 15, was last seen leaving his Port Washington residence around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, Nassau County Police said. Wind Advisory Extended As Arctic Blast Grips Area An Arctic cold front is bringing strong, gusty winds, and bone-chilling wind chill to the region. Man Found Dead After Long Island Expressway Crash A man was found dead after a crash on the Long Island Expressway overnight. A tractor-trailer traveling westbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 34 on Monday, March 1 at 11 p.m. in Manhasset when it left the roadway, went through a wooded area, and came to a rest on the south service road of the expressway, Nassau County Police said. New Storm System Will Sweep Through Region: Here Are Areas Where Snowfall Is Expected A new storm will sweep through the area bringing rain, which could be heavy at times, as well as scattered snow showers, with some parts of the region seeing accumulating snowfall.
