PAWLING, N.Y. -- Pawling resident Robert William died on Sunday, Feb 19. He was 77.
He was born in Mineola, on Nov. 1, 1939, to Lawrence M. and Gwendolyn R. (Wollard) Hunt.
Hunt served in the U.S. Army, then in the Army Reserve. He was honorably discharged.
Hunt worked as a horse trainer for more than two decades and was a horse racing enthusiast. He became a world traveler while working in the international horse transportation business.
Hunt was also a photographer.and had worked as a field specialist for NYS Insurance Fund in White Plains, retiring after 26 years of service.
Hunt is survived by his son, Christopher Hunt, and daughter-in-law, June, of Franklin; a daughter, Deborah Misuraca, and son-in-law, Joe, of Medford; and two granddaughters, Emma and Jennifer Hunt.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter Noelle; his brother Lawrence; two sisters, Gwendolyn Klev and Aileen Dobler; and two brothers-in-law, Maurice Klev and Monroe Fink.
Funeral arrangements were private and were handled by Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main St., Pawling.
