Roberta Ann Cersosimo, 83, Of Pawling

PAWLING, N.Y. -- Roberta Ann Gaydos Cersosimo, 83, died Saturday, April 9, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. 

A resident of Pawling since 1958, she was born in the Bronx on Jan. 30, 1933, to Frank and Pauline Levenstein Gaydos and grew up in the Bronx. She married Fred Cersosimo in the Bronx on Sept. 27, 1952, and then again a year later on Sept. 27 at St. Anthony’s Church in the Bronx. 

Before retiring, she worked as a supervisor for the Foundation for Christian Living in Pawling. She was an avid reader, loved the sun and the beach; especially Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Maine. She enjoyed watching the Yankees. 

She is survived by her husband, Fred; three sons, Frank of New Paltz and Robert and Michael, both of California; two daughters, Lynn Capozzoli and husband Michael of Poughkeepsie, and Cathy Conover and husband Fred of LaGrangeville; four grandchildren, Sara and Joseph Capozzoli and Jesse and Christopher Cersosimo; great- granddaughter Cassidy McGuire. 

Family and friends may call at the Horn and Thomes Inc. Funeral Home, 83 E. Main St. in Pawling on Friday, April 15, from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m.; burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Pawling.
