State Police troopers and investigators from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office conducted a narcotics investigation that resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old Poughkeepsie resident Hughroy Thompson on Saturday, who was in possession of millions in illegal drugs.

During the bust, police seized an estimated 12 kilograms of cocaine and 42 pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of the illegal drugs is more than $2 million.

Thompson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, both felonies. He was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail. Thompson is due back in court later this year to answer the charges.
