Dutchess Woman Spent $500 With Stolen Credit Card, Police Say

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - New York State Police troopers in Dutchess arrested a Wappingers Falls woman for allegedly stealing a credit card and making hundreds of dollars in purchases.

State police arrested 44-year-old Grace Chefalo was arrested last week on multiple felony charges following an investigation that determined she allegedly possessed a stolen credit card and used it to make fraudulent purchases that totaled more than $500.

Chefalo was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree identity theft, both felonies. She was arraigned in the Town of Wappinger Court and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court later this year.
