A man is facing jail time after a verbal dispute turned physical and he choked his victim in Dutchess County.
New York State Police troopers were dispatched to an Old Route 55 residence in Pawling at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, where there were reports of a domestic dispute in progress.
Upon arrival, troopers said that investigators determined that Pawling resident John Page, Jr., 43, had choked his victim in the process of the dispute. He was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor and harassment, a violation.
Following arraignment in the Town of Dover Court, Page was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bond. He is due back in court on Thursday to answer the charges.
