Man Had Illegal, Loaded Handgun In Dover Domestic Dispute, Police Say

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A Dutchess County man is facing a weapons charge after being involved in a domestic dispute in Dover over the weekend.

New York State Police troopers were dispatched to a Foxwell Terrace residence on Sunday night, following reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, further investigation determined that 34-year-old Dover resident Larry May, who was involved in the incident, was in possession of an illegal, loaded handgun.

May was arrested and charged with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is due back in the Town of Dover Justice Court next month to answer the charge.
