Millbrook Man Stopped For Speeding Faces Drug, DWI Charges

MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- A Millbrook man faces multiple charges after he was stopped by New York State Police on Wednesday, police said.

Stephen Pastorek, 46, of Millbrook, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving while intoxicated, police said.

Stephen C. Pastorek, 46, was arrested on South Road by a state trooper who had spotted him speeding and failing to stay in his lane on Route 82, police said.

According to police, Pastorek, after pulling into his driveway, was seen tossing two bags of cocaine out of his car.

Pastorek has been charged with fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony; tampering with physical evidence, a felony; and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, police said.

Pastorek was arraigned in Washington Town Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond, police said.

He was ordered to appear in Washington Town Court on Friday.
