Police Search For Suspect In Town Of Poughkeepsie Bank Robbery

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - Town of Poughkeepsie police are asking the public for help in identifying and locating a man who robbed the Trustco Bank on Wednesday.

Police received a call for a bank robbery in progress at 2656 South Road around 3:36 p.m., said Capt. Ken Roman.

By the time officers arrived the man had already fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, Roman said.

The robber is described as a white male, 5-foot-10, with a thin build and wearing a zipped-up hooded gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark shoes, Roman added.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or the man fleeing are asked to contact the Poughkeepsie Police Detective Division at (845) 485-3670.
