A registered sex offender who was convicted of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl has reported a move in the area.
The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert to Putnam County residents regarding the residency of 62-year-old Anthony Marino, who has moved to a residence on Newburgh Road in Patterson.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Marino as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
Possible sexual abuse was reported to state police in August last year . involving Marino and a child less than 13 years of age. An investigation determined that Marino had engaged in sexual conduct with a child multiple times in the town of Patterson, police said.
