Two cars were stolen out of Dutchess County driveways last weekend, police said.
New York State Police detectives are investigating are investigating the theft of two vehicles that were plucked out of driveways in Stanford between 10 p.m. on Aug. 4 and 9 a.m. on Aug. 5.
Police said that the first vehicle, a 2006 gray Volkswagen Jetta was taken from a driveway on Salt Point Turnpike. It was found parked at a residence north of the Town of Clinton line. The second car, a 2010 light gray Toyota Camry, was taken from Talleur Lane.
Investigators have asked anyone with information regarding the thefts has been asked to contact the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Poughkeepsie by calling (845) 677-7379. Anyone with home surveillance systems in the area has also been asked to contact investigators.
