Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is reconsidering a run for governor this year, according to media reports.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who lost a challenge to Gov. Mario Cuomo four years ago, ruled out a repeat run after losing to George Latimer in the fall.

Molinaro, 42, told the Poughkeepsie Journal on Wednesday in this article, that he may run.

Dutchess County's executive since 2012, Molinaro previously served five years in the state Assembly. He also served as the mayor of Tivoli.

Cuomo of New Castle, meanwhile, is considered a likely Democratic challenger to President Trump in 2020..
