MILLBROOK, N. Y. -- Students, staff and faculty at Millbrook High School came together Thursday night to honor the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. with a special chapel service.
The purpose of the gathering was to provide a time to reflect on his life by reading poems, news articles and other writings, as well as play music and sing, school officials said.
School officials thanked all who organized the tribute. The civil rights leader and Baptist minister, who was born Jan. 15, is honored with a federal holiday.
