Scarsdale Library's Programs For Kids Include Yoga, Music, Big Truck Day
SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- A yoga program for toddlers ages three to five, where the children have fun "playing yoga," will be held on Monday, May 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the Scarsdale Public Library. “Yoga Tots” combines traditional yoga poses, props, and engaging songs to build motor skills, confidence, and relaxation skills. Rye YMCA Celebrates Senior Wellness Month
RYE, N.Y. -- As part of a month-long celebration focusing on Active Older Adults, the Rye Y recently hosted a Senior Wellness Day. The Friday, May 13, event was free and open to the community. Laura Tiedge, Rye Y’s Senior Director of Healthy Living, kicked-off the day’s activities with a discussion on the nine dimensions of well-being and helped participants identify strategies for improving their own wellness.
