Library Exhibit In Pleasantville Features Japanese Calligraphy, Ikebana PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Japanese calligraphy and ikebana flower arrangements are on display now through June 2 in the Mount Pleasant Library’s gallery space at 350 Bedford Road, Pleasantville. Works by calligrapher Yoshiko Katsumi and her students are shown alongside Japanese flower arrangements by students of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana.  The public is invited to the opening reception for the artists Saturday 14, at 2 p.m. in the gallery. Mill Street Bridge Reopens To Traffic In Poughkeepsie POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Mill Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project is nearly complete, according to the city of Poughkeepsie Twitter feed.  Paving was finished May 9, and the bridge was reopened to traffic on Wednesday. Roadway striping will be completed this week. The project is a month ahead of schedule and within budget, according to the city.
