First Niagara Foundation Donates $20,000 For Youth Education At Caramoor
KATONAH, N.Y. -- Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts announced a $20,000 grant awarded by First Niagara Foundation. These funds are designated to support the Underserved Youth Education Program and Patron Transportation Pilot Program. New York Schools Spend 87 Percent Above United States Average
More money is spent per pupil on education in New York than in any other state in the country. New York spent $20,610 per student-the most on education per pupil-in 2014 the census bureau reported, according to lohud.com. New York has held this distinction for many years and is spending $24.8 billion on 700 school districts this fiscal year, which is a 6.5 percent increase from 2013, according to lohud.com. Census data revealed a 4 percent increase per pupil from 2013 to 2014. Nationally there was a 2.7 percent increase in per pupil spending with $11,009 spent on average. Utah spent the …
