Westchester Parks Have Plenty Going On After July 4
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- While everyone may be focused on Independence Day activities this weekend, there are plenty of other things happening next weekend and beyond at Westchester County parks.

Hastings Group Plans Fundraiser For Reynolds Field Project
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Friends of Reynolds Field Playground will hold a fundraiser Friday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at the Hastings Community Center.
There will be food, drink, music and a silent auction to benefit the redevelopment of the playground. Auction items include a tour of the New York Stock Exchange, a day's worth of carpentry or landscaping, magic lessons and licensed soccer instruction, among other donated skills and services.

Giovanni (John) Biasetti, 67, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. -- Giovanni (John) Biasetti, of Norwalk, died Sunday, June 21. He was 67.
Biasetti was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Ischia, Italy, the son of Oberdan and Francesca Spennato Biasetti. He grew up in Norwalk and attended Norwalk Public Schools. He was retired from swimming pool construction. He enjoyed sports, fishing and billiards.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Giovanni Biasetti and Luigi (Gino) Biasetti; a son, Christopher Oberdan Biasetti; and niece Susan Moeller Dimichele.

James E. Balitsos Sr., 88, Norwalk Resident
NORWALK, Conn. -- James E. Balitsos Sr., of Norwalk, died Monday, June 29, at The Greens in Wilton. He was 88.
Balitsos was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Dec. 14, 1926. He was the son of Efthimious and Eleftheria Balitsos.
Balitsos was raised in Astoria, Queens. He was very active in sports both as a player and manager. He played football and amateur hockey. A highlight of his career was scrimmaging against the New York Rangers at the old Madison Square Garden at age 15. He also was part of a professional diving show at the Aqua Stadium at the old World’s Fair Grounds in Queens.
