Lights Festivities Kick Off Holiday Season In Nyack NYACK, N.Y. -- The Nyack Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Holiday Lights of Nyack from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.Festivities will take place at Veterans Park Gazebo on Main Street. Brewster High School Students Help Injured Veterans BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Students in Brewster High School’s SUPA Public Affairs class recently volunteered their time to help raise awareness and funding for Help Our Military Heroes, a nonprofit organization that supports men and women of the armed forces who have been injured while serving the country. Nanuet School Honors Teacher Allison Florio With Fundraiser NANUET, N.Y. -- Starbuck's customers can honor the daughter of an esteemed teacher Thursday at the Nanuet store in Rockland Plaza, according to a story in lohud.com. Allison Florio, the daughter of A. MacArthur Barr Middle School teacher Laurie Mazzuca, will have a Starbuck's frappuccino named in her honor, lohud.com reported.
