Ridgefield Musicians Pull Out The Stops For 'Concert To End Gun Violence' RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Musicians from Ridgefield and surrounding towns will hit the stage at the high school on Sunday as part of a nationwide concert dedicated to eliminating deadly gun violence across the U.S. The School of Rock Ridgefield along with a coalition of gun violence prevention activists in Ridgefield have banded together for the "Concert Across America to End Gun Violence." Public Hearing Scheduled In Bethel On Power Line Proposal BETHEL, Conn. -- The Connecticut Siting Council will conduct a public hearing in Bethel on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., on a proposal for a new power line. They will hear comments from the public on a plan by Eversource Energy to place a second power line next to the existing high-tension line that runs from Brookfield to Bethel through the Stony Hill neighborhood. Both hearings will take place in the General Purpose room at Bethel Town Hall, at 1 School St.

Ridgefield Installs New Stop Sign On Farmingville Road RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- A new stop sign was just installed for eastbound traffic on Farmingville Road at the intersection of Ligi's Way, according to the Ridgefield Police Department's Facebook page. This intersection will now be a four-way stop. This change was made at the recommendation of the local traffic authority to improve roadway and traffic safety.
