Rivertown Runners Raise $30,000 For Sleepy Hollow Non-Profits
SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- Rivertown Runners raised $30,000 for Sleepy Hollow non-profits through their half marathon last month. These funds will go back into the community through grants and scholarships.Laura Murray, marketing director of the Rivertown Runners, along with president Todd Ruppel, presented a check to the local nonprofits at last night’s Sleepy Hollow Village Board Meeting.

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Oliva Papa of Elmsford died on Tuesday, April 26. She was 97.She was born on Jan. 27, 1919. in Colledimezzo, Chieti, Italy.
She is survived by her sons, Tony (MaryLou), Vinny (Aimee) and her daughters Anna (Americo), Lucy (Dominico), Rita (Ernesto), Lisa (Bruno), Ellie (Bob), and Nella (Tony) and her sister Concetta Carrea. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren, 42 great- grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Ubaldo, a son Nicola, a daughter Elodia, brothers Mike, Nicola and Jimmy, and a sister Giovanna.

Julia Daniels, 95, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Julia Daniels, of Yonkers, died on Saturday, April 16. She was 95.Daniels was born in Yonkers to Stephen and Julia (Slutak) Berezny on Sept. 11, 1920.
After graduating from Commerce High School in 1938, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Yonkers law firm of Scrugam and Arbuckle. On Nov. 27, 1943, she married Joseph Daniels. They lived in California until 1948, when they returned to Yonkers.
Daniels worked in Egerman's Pharmacy in Yonkers for close to 25 years.
Her husband died in 1994.

YONKERS, N.Y. -- John Costanzo, 82, of Yonkers, died on Monday, April 25. He was a Yonkers resident for more than 50 years. Costanzo is survived by his son, John (Lisa) Costanzo, of Yorktown Heights, and three grandchildren John, Felicia and Louis Costanzo of Yorktown Heights.
His wife, Maria, died in 2012, and he also was predeceased by four brothers, Angelo, Silvio, Michael and Felice and two sisters Chiarina Deleo and Maria Fragale.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 27, at The Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave. in Yonkers.

Stanislawa Rzepala, 95, Of Port Chester
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Stanislawa Rzepala, 95, a resident of Port Chester, died April 24, 2016. She was born April 10, 1921 in Siberia, Russia, to Jozef and Marja Jajko. She was raised in Poland, and forced into slave labor in Germany during World War II. She immigrated to the United States in 1951.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Chester.
Her husband, Jan Rzepala, died in November 1979.
