Bethel Fire And EMS Answered Calls All Around Town In August NEWTOWN, Conn. -- During August, Bethel Fire and EMS responded to calls from all around town, according to Bethel Bulletin.There were a total of 96 EMS runs for the month and 40 calls for the Fire Department, including: Automatic alarms – 21. Norwalk Resident Celebrates 30 Years Of Service To STAR NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Mable Little recently celebrated 30 years of service with STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way. STAR is a local non-profit agency serving people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in Mid- Fairfield County since 1952. Barry McMaster Wins South Salem Biathlon LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Barry McMaster of Darien won the Sixth Annual South Salem Church Tavern Biathlon. The race was held on Monday, Sept. 5, at St. John's Episcopal Church. The race consisted of a four-mile run to a seven-mile bike ride through hilly and scenic secondary roads. McMaster won with a margin of over three minutes, finishing at 47 minutes and 27 seconds.
