Doctor In Fairfield County Admits To Illegally Prescribing Controlled Substances A 62-year-old Fairfield County man has admitted to illegally distributing prescription medication. David Ciancimino, of Trumbull, pleaded guilty on Monday, Jan. 24, to one count of distribution of a controlled substance without a legitimate medical purpose and outside the scope of professional practice, according to Leonard Boyle, the United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
