Inflatable Jump Bag Used To Save Woman From Bridge Over I-287 In White Plains Thanks to a coordinated effort between first responders and police, as well as an inflatable jump bag, a woman was saved from a bridge over a highway in Westchester. The incident happened on Saturday, July 29 just after 7 a.m., when Westchester County Police, the White Plains Fire Department, and White Plains Police were sent to help a distraught woman who was threatening to jump from the Anderson Hill Road bridge over Interstate 287 in White Plains. Ramp Closure: Route Between I-684, I-287 In Harrison To Be Affected A ramp carrying traffic between two busy highways in Westchester will soon be affected by an upcoming closure. The closure will affect the ramp between Exit 1 on I-684 and I-287 in Harrison from Friday, Aug. 4 to Saturday, Aug. 5, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. The traffic interruption will last from 10 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, officials added. The closure is to allow for ramp maintenance.
