Mass Company Issues Recall On 30K Blankets, Throws Over Burn, Fire Concerns The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on nearly 30,000 Berkshire Blanket & Home Company heated throws and blankets over issues with overheating that pose fire or burn risks.   The Ware-based company's blankets were sold under its name and the L.L. Bean brand, where they are sold in stores. The CPSC said in its recall notice that they were also sold at Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Amazon.com, Target.com, Macys.com, and QVC.com.  The company has received nine reports of the blankets and throws burning, melting, or overheating. West Springfield Man Found Shot To Death In Springfield Apartment ID'd Police have identified a man who was shot and killed inside a Springfield apartment on Nov. 7.  Anthony Edwards, 30, of West Springfield, was found dead inside an apartment in the 100 block of Fort Pleasant Avenue, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.  Springfield police are searching for the shooter.  Investigators ask anyone with information on the killing to contact Springfield detectives at 413-787-6355.

16-Year-Old Western Mass Boy Missing, Police Searching For Clues Police in Berkshire County are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 16-year-old boy in Pittsfield.  Jacob Burdick is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 128 pounds with long, curly light brown hair and brown eyes, Pittsfield police said. Teen, 16, Dies In Dirt Bike Crash In Springfield A 16-year-old boy was killed Wednesday night, Nov. 29, after they crashed their dirt bike in Springfield.  The crash happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Plumtree Road when the rider hit a curb and a Department of Public Works sign, Springfield police said.  Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, police said.  The teen's name was not released because of his age.  Springfield police are investigating the crash.
