An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

The school is hosting Sean Kilpatrick Night on Thursday, Jan. 4 to honor the basketball star, who now plays for the Brooklyn Nets. Kilpatrick, who was born in Yonkers, will be recognized for his accomplishments and given his high school jersey. While playing for the Tigers, Kilpatrick averaged 28.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists and was the second-leading scorer in White Plains High School history. Yorktown Man Violates Probation, Police Say A Yorktown man is behind bars after he was picked up for violating his probation. Robert Reichert, 24, surrendered to police on Tuesday after a bench warrant was issued. Police did not know what Reichert did to violate his probation. In 2015, Reichert was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs after being pulled over on the Taconic State Parkway. Reichert was unable to post bail, which was set at $1,000 cash or $1,500 bond. He was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is due back in court on Nov. 30.

The Buffalo Wild Wings at 44 Westchester Ave. in the village recently closed its doors. The wing chain did not give a reason for its closure, directing customers to nearby locations in White Plains and New Rochelle. Applebees and Panera Bread have also shut its doors in Port Chester over the last few years. Wing lovers can go down the street to Wing Stop, which opened last year. On Tuesday, Arby's announced it is acquiring Buffalo Wild Wings for $2.4 billion.

Port Chester Housing Authority Paying Back Taxes...Over 60 Years PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester Housing Authority has 60 years to pay back more than $260,000 in back taxes to the village. The village board approved 5-2, a payment plan that will see the agency pay the village $20,575. The rest of the balance will be paid back $338 a month over the next 60 years. The housing authority, which runs 340 units in the village and is funded through rent payments and federal funding, hasn't paid its sewer taxes since 2014, according to LoHud.
