An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Meyer's Old Dutch Fully Opens In Beacon BEACON, N.Y. -- The new burger joint is officially open for all. Meyer's Olde Dutch recently opened its doors to a full bar and menu service, having only been serving burgers since May at its location at 184 Main Street, replacing Poppy's. Brian Arnoff, who runs Meyer's, said he is committed to sourcing local ingredients. PAC Launching Campaign Against Cuomo Republicans have their sights set on Governor Andrew Cuomo.America Rising PAC, a conservative group, announced they are launching a campaign against Cuomo, who is running for a third term in 2018 and is also being touted as a potential presidential candidate in 2020. Mount Kisco Musician Gets Animated On 'Teen Titans' WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A hit song has turned into the opportunity of a lifetime for Frank Enea. Enea, a White Plains native who runs Satellite Music Studios in Mount Kisco, is playing himself on "Teen Titans Go," which is airing on the Cartoon Network this week. SPCA Hoping To Clear The Shelter The SPCA has more dogs and cats than usual, but are hoping a one-day event can help their animals find forever homes. The SPCA is taking part in NBC's Clear the Shelters on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Briarcliff location at 590 North State Road. Murdoch's short film, "Intervention," which she wrote and directed in 2014, was screened at the Community Access New York City Mental Health Film Festival. Burt Solomon, 84, Mount Kisco, Ex-Bedford Schools Trustee, Movie Publicist Burton Solomon, 84, a longtime resident of Northern Westchester, died on Thursday in Mount Kisco, where he lived. Born in 1933 in the Bronx, Solomon graduated from Evander Childs High School and from Fordham University in 1953. He served in the United States Army stationed in Ft. Benning, GA and then attended Syracuse University earning a Master's in Radio and Television in 1957. In 1959, he became a movie publicist in New York, working for Paramount Pictures and as the Director of Publicity of Universal Pictures.
