A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Allyson Pitzel, who graduated Yorktown in 2013, recently received the Summa Cum Laude Award from the University of Alabama. Pitzel is majoring in the Multiple Abilities Program. Pitzel will be certified K-6 elementary and special education. The Summa Cum Laude Honors Award is given to students who have maintained a GPA of a 4.0 throughout their four years of college. A crowdfunding page has been set up for the family following the sudden death of Marty Ceresnik, a 38-year-old Pearl River resident. Pelham Basketball Player Named To All-State PELHAM, N.Y. --Davis Allen, a senior at Pelham Memorial High School, was named to the New York State Sportswriters Association’s All-State Basketball Team. Allen, a four-year varsity player,  led the Pelicans to an 11-11 record while averaging a team-high 20.7 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game. He was also named to All-Section, All-Conference, and All-League.  Earlier this year, Allen signed a National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame.

Sandra Is Dutchess County Pet Of The Week Sandra, who is at Care of DC in Wappingers Falls, is the Dutchess County Pet of the Week. Sandra is a mixed breed who was facing euthanasia while pregnant. She is now staying at the shelter and recently had her puppies. Sandra is about 2 years old. She is good with children and dogs and has not yet been cat tested, the shelter said.
