A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Union City Police Officer Busted For DWI: Secaucus PD (Updated) A police officer from Hudson County has purportedly been charged with DWI, according to authorities and various news reports. Mauricio Garces, a 34-year-old Secaucus resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated on Sunday, July 2, Secaucus Police said. Garces has been a police officer in Union City since 2019. At 3:03 a.m., police observed a car stopped in a lane of traffic in the area of Secaucus Road and County Avenue, officers said. The driver of the vehicle was found to be sleeping, police said. Gelateria Opens In Ridgewood Ridgewood just got sweeter. A new gelateria, Gelato di nonna, has opened in the downtown at 37 E Ridgewood Avenue. The location was previously home to Wild and Hearty, a juice bar.  Wild and Hearty opened in 2019 under the same ownership as Samba Bowls. It wasn't clear when the shop shuttered, but was last active on Facebook in Summer 2021. According to Google, Gelato di nonna's hours are noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

$5M Gym Replacing Shuttered North Jersey Big Lots Store People in Livingston have no excuse for not wanting to exercise. Crunch Fitness announced on its Instagram page it is planning to open a brand new 35,000 square foot gym at the site of the former Big Lots store at 585 W Mount Pleasant Avenue this fall. According to its Instagram page, the $5 million gym will open this fall. The first 500 members will pay only $1 and get one month free, along with a free t-shirt and other swag.
