Rosemary A. Roche, 92, Lifelong Yonkers Resident YONKERS, N.Y. -- Rosemary A. Roche, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Monday, Oct. 5. She was 92. Roche was born July 7, 1923, to Andrew Roche and Nora Purcell.  She attended Yonkers schools and graduated from Gorton High School. She was a member of the Monastery Church of Sacred Heart. Roche spent her career working for the New York Telephone Co., which later became Verizon, and was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers.  She loved to travel and visit exotic places. Bridgeport Police Charge New Haven Man With Stealing Car BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A New Haven man was arrested in the theft of a car in the Hollow over the weekend, Bridgeport police said. At about 5:15 p.m. Sunday, police dispatch advised officers that a black 2012 Honda Civic had been reported stolen.  Upon receiving the report, a police officer spotted the vehicle in question near the corner of Washington Avenue and Catherine Street.  The officer followed the Honda in his patrol vehicle while traveling east on Washington Avenue, police said. Stamford Parents Arrested After Malnourished Son Is Found In Filthy Home STAMFORD, Conn. -- Two Stamford residents are facing child neglect charges after police said they found their dehydrated and malnourished son living in a filthy and unsanitary home.  On Sept. 28, the Stamford police patrol division was dispatched to 117 Myrtle Ave. to investigate a medical call.  Upon arrival, patrol units found a severely dehydrated and malnourished female caring for a 14-month-old boy, police said.
