Rosemary A. Roche, 92, Lifelong Yonkers Resident
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Rosemary A. Roche, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Monday, Oct. 5. She was 92. Roche was born July 7, 1923, to Andrew Roche and Nora Purcell.
She attended Yonkers schools and graduated from Gorton High School. She was a member of the Monastery Church of Sacred Heart. Roche spent her career working for the New York Telephone Co., which later became Verizon, and was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers.
She loved to travel and visit exotic places. She also spent many winter seasons in Hawaii with her sisters.

Pound Ridge Library Features Storytelling Festival
POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- The Pound Ridge Library will host a storytelling festtival Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11, 1-4 p.m.The theme for Oct. 10 will be Bards & Beverages, featuring Jennifer Munro and Matthew Dicks, professional storytellers. Tickets are $40 per person and includes one glass of wine and light refreshments.

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Marguerite Julia Spears (Soulias) of Mount Kisco died Thursday, Oct. 1. Spears worked at Flintlock Construction in Mamaroneck for the past 20 years.
She loved reading and spoiling her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Doris, and a brother, Michael.
