A Hudson Valley police officer was injured when his vehicle hit a curb, and then a tree before rolling over while attempting to avoid another driver who allegedly cut him off in traffic. A 53-year-old Hudson Valley man faces child pornography charges following a search of his residence, police announced. Putnam County resident John Towers of Mahopac was arrested on Friday, March 29 after he was caught in possession of images depicting the sexual abuse of children, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday, April 2. According to the Sheriff's Office, Towers' arrest followed an investigation that began in February, when the office's Bureau of Criminal Investigation received information that a Town of Carmel resident had photos containing child pornography.…

ID Released For Who Beekman Woman Died After Jumping From Bridge In Dutchess County
A woman who jumped to her death from a Hudson Valley bridge has been identified by police. Dutchess County resident Dawn Stackhouse, age 52, of Beekman, jumped from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge in Rhinebeck, on Monday, April 1. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, an investigation determined Stackhouse jumped from the bridge around 9:50 a.m. Good Samaritans fishing near the bridge removed her from the water and attempted life-saving measures, Hicks said. Seen Him? Missing Man Last Seen In Dutchess County
The New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Hudson Valley man who hasn't been since Sunday, March 24. Nicolas Faust, age 43, formerly of Ulster County in Marlborough, and Westchester County in Peekskill, was reported missing by his family, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. Faust was last seen by friends in the Mill Street area of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, March 24 around 2 a.m. He is described as being 5-foot-9, 175 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities are asking parents to avoid a Hudson Valley school during an upcoming scheduled exercise involving police and firefighters. Two Hudson Valley men were found stabbed to death after police received a call for help. Police in the region are asking for help in locating a missing, vulnerable adult. Albany County resident Tabitha King, age 41, of Colonie, was last seen in Albany on Friday, March 29, after being dropped off for an appointment, according to Colonie Police. A 4-alarm fire that started at a Hudson Valley home and spread, displaced 33 people, including three infants, and injured three. A 34-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot on a Hudson Valley street. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 4:30 a.m., Saturday, March 30 in the 400 block of Main Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
