Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Pedestrian Killed In Crosswalk On Jersey Shore A 34-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Freehold Township, authorities said. The man was visiting from Guyana, Freehold police said. Police responded to the crash at about 7 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at the intersection of Route 9 southbound and Schibanoff Lane. Philly Felon Charged In Fatal Shooting On South Jersey Street A Philadelphia man has been charged in a fatal daytime shooting in Gloucester County, authorities said. Tyler L. McKinney, 22, allegedly shot Brandon L. Blanton, 21, of Woodbury multiple times near Franklin and Wallace streets in Woodbury at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.
