Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Pregnant Pedestrian Struck By Jeep In Central Jersey Crosswalk: Police A pregnant woman was struck by a Jeep in Edison, authorities said. At 8:41 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, a 31-year-old woman from Edison was struck in the crosswalk at Route 514E and Sunrise Drive, police said. She was conscious and alert when transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.  The driver, a 39-year-old man from Milltown, was driving a 2007 Black Jeep Liberty at the time of the impact.  The crash remains under investigation,  No charges had been filed.

Crash With Injuries Reported On I-295 South Jersey There was a crash with injuries on Interstate 295 in Gloucester County. The crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 on I-295 southbound north of Exit 20 in West Deptford Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and State Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevy Traverse was involved in a single-vehicle crash, State Police said.
