Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Police joked that the pig was charged with criminal mischief. It was taken to the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital for safekeeping.

Truck Driver Hurt, Plywood Spills In Central Jersey Crash A 53-year-old truck driver was seriously hurt when he overturned on Route 1 in South Brunswick, authorities said. The crash occurred at 10:11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 when the truck swerved onto Promenade Boulevard to avoid a car, South Brunswick police said. The plywood on the truck spilled onto the highway and struck four vehicles, police said. No other injuries were reported.

South Jersey Police Arrest Suspected Hit-Run Driver Police in Gloucester Township have arrested a suspected hit-and-run driver, authorities said The fatal crash occurred on Monday, Nov. 7, at approximately 10:28 p.m. in the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike. Police found a pedestrian, Elaine J. Hubler, 58, of Hilltop, laying in the roadway. It was determined she was attempting to cross the roadway when the driver of a dark-colored vehicle struck her. 1 Killed, 3 Hurt In Crash During Central Jersey Police Chase One person was killed and three others were hurt in a crash that occurred during a police chase, authorities said. The Attorney General’s Office is investigating the crash on Route 9 south in Old Bridge after a Marlboro police officer attempted to stop a vehicle at 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. The vehicle being pursued struck unrelated civilian vehicles. It was a suspect in an attempted car theft. The identities of the decedent and the other individuals are not being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time.

Bomb Threat Shakes Up Jewish Community Center In Edison There was an unfounded bomb threat on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County.  The center on Oak Tree Road in Edison was temporarily evacuated. Police found no bomb and there were no injuries, according to Lt. Robert Duffy, an Edison Police Department spokesman. An investigation is continuing.  The threat came less than a week after a broad statewide threat made against New Jersey synagogues. That Nov. 3 threat was mitigated by a probe of the FBI which located a suspect making the threat.
