Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Armed Man Arrested After Foot Chase In Atlantic City: Police An armed man was arrested by Atlantic City police after a foot chase, authorities said. On Sunday, July 2, at 9:30 p.m., Detective Christopher Dodson received information regarding a man in the beach block of California Avenue that was in possession of a handgun. Dodson, along with Detectives Aaron Jones and Eric Evans, and Officer Brandon Bower, located Quadry Wise, police said. As detectives approached to investigate, Wise began to run, police said. Trio Charged With Drug Offenses In Atlantic City: Police Three people were charged with various drug-related offenses in Atlantic City, authorities said. A handgun also was recovered on June 29, according to Atlantic City police. A court-ordered search warrant on the home of Kassandra Beebe, 33, of Atlantic City. turned up more than 24 grams of methamphetamine, 52 bags of heroin, three grams of cocaine, and prescription pills. South Jersey Man Sentenced In Road Rage Death A South Jersey man convicted of slashing a driver to death during a road rage incident has been sentenced to 24 years in New Jersey State Prison. Everett E. Moore Jr., 59, of Clayton, was convicted in February for the 2018 slaying of Joseph Pirri, 32, of Blackwood. Atlantic City's Island Waterpark Delays Grand Opening ISLANS Waterpark in Atlantic City has delayed its grand opening. It had been set to open on Friday, June 30. Brian Moriarty, a spokesperson for the waterpark, didn’t specify when the new opening date will be. He also did not give a reason for the delay.
