Samantha Scarmozzino Of Montrose, 25, Cosmetology Student
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Samantha Margaret Scarmozzino, 25, of Montrose, died on Friday, Sept. 15, in Yonkers.
A graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School, Scarmozzino was studying cosmetology in Peekskill and completed coursework at both Iona and Westchester Community Colleges.
Born August 19, 1992, she is the daughter of LuAnn Scarmozzino of Manhattan and Robert and Medea Scarmozzino of Montrose.
She is survived by her sisters, Amanda, Elena, Olivia and Gabriella Scarmozzino and her maternal grandmother Georgia Dingee of Dover Plains.

Girlfriend Nabbed In Stabbing Death Of Hyde Park Passenger
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- After telling police a dramatic story of her boyfriend being stabbed to death in their vehicle by a group of teens on Sept. 14, a Hyde Park woman was charged Wednesday with his murder, police said.The victim, Nakia Bruton, 42, had been stabbed once in the chest on Winnikee Avenue and later died at Vassar Hospital, said City of Poughkeepsie Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
Bruton was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle, and the hospital notified police of his death, Clark said.

Sheriff: Pawling Man Drives Drunk After Court Appearance For DWI Charge
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - A Pawling man who showed up to court drunk for a DWI hearing on Tuesday, was arrested for driving away from the courthouse after being warned not to do so, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
Matthew S. Paul, 43, was charged with felony-level DWI and unlicensed operation after leaving the LaGrange Court House, said Capt. John Watterson.
Deputies present in the court warned Paul not to drive after the proceeding, however, he elected to do so anyway and was subsequently arrested, Watterson said.

Former Teller Accused In Westchester Armed Bank Robbery
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Westchester bank teller was charged Wednesday with participating in a 2013 armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Yonkers, according to Joon H. Kim, the Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Virginia Blanco, 28, of Yonkers, provided "critical" information about the bank on Odell Avenue to Giovanni Marte before he and three others robbed the bank on Oct. 29, 2013, Kim said.
