Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For Man Killed After Being Hit By Two Vehicles Moments Apart On Long Island The identity has been released of a man who was killed after being struck by two vehicles moments apart on a Long Island roadway. The man was running in Selden across Middle County Road, near Adirondack Drive, when he was struck by a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee knocking him to the middle of the roadway at approximately 6:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, Suffolk County Police said. Serious Crash Shuts Down I-95 Stretch A serious crash with at least one critical injured reported has shut down a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County. The crash happened around 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 on the northbound side between Exit 5 (Route 1) and Exit 6 (Harvard Avenue/West Avenue) in Stamford, near the Greenwich border. It happened around 6:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in Shirley. It happened on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11:10 a.m. in North Amityville. A 21-year-old man was driving a 2019 Nissan Altima eastbound on Brefni Street when he was shot by an occupant of another vehicle at the intersection of Geraldine Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Man Killed After Being Struck By Pickup Truck On Long Island Roadway A man was killed after being struck by a pickup truck near a Long Island intersection overnight. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4 in Uniondale. An 83-year-old man was operating a 2010 GMC westbound on Jerusalem Avenue when the man, age 72, was struck in the vicinity of Edgemere Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Wreckage Of Missing Plane That Left PA Found, Pilot Missing A plane that departed Pennsylvania and went missing off the coast of Massachusetts five days ago has been located -- but the pilot is missing. The Piper PA-28 was reported missing on Sunday, Oct. 31 around 10 p.m. after it had departed Reading, PA, authorities said. The pilot was identified as 67-year-old Roger Mills, of Woburn, MA.
