Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Nassau County Man Accused Of Robbing Long Island Bank A suspect has been charged after a midday bank robbery on Long Island earlier this month. It happened Saturday, Oct. 2 in Smithtown. The suspect entered TD Bank, located at 714 Smithtown Bypass, at approximately 11:50 a.m. and handed a teller a note indicating he had a gun and demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said.  The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer, according to police. ID Released For Man Killed In Helicopter Crash Near Mountain In Hudson Valley The identity has been released of a man who was killed in a helicopter crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Orange County in the town of Cornwall at about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10 near Storm King Mountain and Route 218. The pilot of the helicopter, Long Island resident Arthur Charych, age 73, of Setauket in Suffolk County, was pronounced dead at the scene, New York State Police announced Monday morning, Oct. 11. Person Dies After Being Struck By Van Near Long Island Intersection A person was killed after being struck by a vehicle near a Long Island intersection overnight. It happened around 4:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11 in New Cassel. A 65-year-old man was operating a gray van westbound on Old Country Road near Hilton Street, when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway, Nassau County Police said. The pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic. The operator of the van remained at the scene. Beloved High School Teacher, Coach In Westchester Dies A lifelong Hudson Valley resident who was a beloved high school coach, and teacher, as well as the chief of a local fire department, and a standout college athlete in Connecticut, has died.
